More of 200 species are threatened in the 2007. Simians, vultures, dolphins and, for the first time, the corals are the species in more danger in the world. 40 % of the species of Colombians is in endangered.
In the world they are 200 the species that this year was added to the Red List of Endangered animal, in Colombia this number diminished from 614 to 604 of the 2006 at 2007.
In the Red List endangered animal are:" one mammal of each four, one bird of each eight. This has explained for environmentalist organization from world. (This organization was the charge of creating the Day of the Earth. This day was celebrated the 22 from April from 1970, internationally for first time so that people saw the necessity of the conservation of the natural resources of the world. This organization was born of university student's group and celebrated March 21 for the first time, the day of the Earth has become an important educational and informative event. The environmentalist group uses this day for evaluate the environmental problems of the planet.) Examples for this case are the different endangered animal, like:
· The gorilla
· The orangutans of Sumatra,
· Different types of algae and corals of the islands Tortoises
· The dolphin of the China
· The crocodile of India
Environmentalist organization said that main causes from loss the biodiversity in the planet, are:
· The hunt
· The excessive fishing
· The contamination
· The climatic change
· The destruction of the natural habitat.
In conclusion, between the 604 species threatened in Colombia, these they are some in critical danger: parrot orejiamarillo that lives in the palms; the paramero of Munchique(hummingbird); and the verderón from the San Andrés' islands.
